False eyelashes can be a great addition to any eye, but especially eyes with short or light eyelashes. Now applying the eyelashes can be a tad on the difficult side, so that's where I come in. I'm going to give you step-by-step instructions.
1st. Make sure that your eyes are clean and ready to go. You don't want any makeup left on your eyes.
2nd. Curl your natural eyelashes. This can be done with the common crimper or a heat curler. The heat curler is best if your have nervous eyes.
3rd. Use an eyeliner pencil, the same color as your false lashes, and draw a thin line across the top of your eyelid right above your eyelashes. This will show you exactly where to place the false eyelashes. Your false eyelashes will be placed on the eyeliner. The eyeliner will hide any skin exposure.
4th. Now it's time to trim the outsides of your eyelashes. You want the eyelashes to match up with the width of your eyelid. You don't want any hangover on the ends because that will make your
5th. Put the eyelash glue on the end of your false eyelash (the part that will be going on your eye, width wise). Let the glue sit for about a minute. This will allow the glue to be non-tacky when you apply it to your eye. The sticky part will go on the eyeliner line you drew.
6th. Give your lashes a few minutes to dry. Test them out with your finger by pressing lightly upward on the lashes. When the lashes are completely dried, apply a thin coat of mascara to blend your false eyelashes with your real lashes.
Do not re-use any false eyelashes that seem to be falling apart in anyway. Do not use false eyelashes that have fallen off your eyes in the process of putting them on. Do not re-use false eyelashes. Do not share false eyelashes with anyone else.
Make sure to remove your false eyelashes before you sleep. This can be done by using a makeup remover. All glues and makeup should be removed before you go to bed. This will prevent your eyes from becoming sticky, loosing your lashes during the night (sometimes getting them in your eyes), and so on.
All makeup can be applied as normal while using false eyelashes. It shouldn't have any sort of affect if the lashes were applied properly.
